Happy Monday!
How can you not just love this girl? Her Aunt Em called her smile contagious, and I'd have to say I agree! This age just keeps getting more and more fun! Reece is turning into such a silly, crazy little baby. I just can't get enough of her!
At seven months, Reece loves:
- Smiling
- Laughing
- Talking
- Eating (except for green veggies...we're working on those!)
- Mum Mums (this may be her favorite baby food yet!)
- Sucking on her hands and anything else near her mouth
- Sitting
- Grabbing her toes
- Rolling over (especially in her crib before bed)
- Toys: light up sea horse, keys, pink hippo, plastic rings, star rattle, fish rattle
- Exersaucer
- Watching T.V.
- Baths
- Being naked
- Being silly!
- Remotes and cell phones
- Touching faces
- Feeling everything with her hands
- Her binky
- Reading books
- Looking in the mirror
- Mom's jewelry
- Going for walks (unless it's windy)
- Sleeping on her side and her stomach
At seven months, Reece doesn't like:
- Getting dressed (yep, still going strong on this one. The arms through the sleeves ruins it every time!)
- Getting in her car seat
- Getting swaddled (maybe if she would be consistent with her naps I wouldn't have to swaddle her halfway through!)
She is my sweet girl, and I can't believe how much more my love grows for her every day. I didn't think it was possible!
This is what I'm looking forward to this week:
- Going to the mall today with Sarah
- Lindy's pampered chef party
- Booking my flight to Oregon
- Working out
- Trying more new foods with Reece
- Getting together with all of our friends in Lehi
- Starting to crochet a blanket for baby girl Harmon (I need to get going on this - I've got a few blankets to make!)
Happy Monday!
Here is what I'm looking forward to this week:
- Trying more new foods with Reece!
- Hopefully getting Reece back on her nap schedule (naps are driving me crazy right now!)
- Warm weather today!
- Seeing my cousins for dinner on Thursday nite
- Working out (I'm thinking of going to two workouts a day - this stubborn baby weight will not leave!)
- Having Britney and Luke over
- Having Amanda over to make girly things
- Eating our Easter eggs (I love hard boiled eggs!)
- Going for walks
Happy Monday!
I'm 29! That is pretty close to 30! So hard to believe! My day was pretty normal - just another day! But it was filled with lots of calls, texts, and fb messages - so thank you everyone for that! I got lots of fun gifts, which I just have to mention my HSM3 towel from Sarah. If only we could figure out how to put my face on the towel next to Zac Efron, instead of Vanessa's! :) I'm truly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends! Josh and I were able to go on a baby-free date to Red Lobster. I filled up on shrimp, salmon, and cheddar biscuits, and we both came home pretty stuffed. It was nice to be able to go out together and spend some time alone. He's such a great hubby! So the countdown to the big 3-0 is on!
Today is Easter, and we had a nice, quiet day. Reece was an angel all day at church, and looked beautiful in her little Easter dress. (Thank you Appah's for that!) We had a great meeting, with great speakers and lessons. After church, we got Reece home to nap while we played Boggle and I fixed dinner. The weather turned out to be pretty nice, so we went out for a nice long walk this evening. I'm so ready for the warm weather. I can't wait to be outside more! It's a great time of year to really reflect on what the Savior did for us. I don't think I remember often enough, and I feel so blessed to have my testimony of the gospel.
Our regular lives are just that. Regular. Josh is busy working his jobs, I'm busy being a mom, and Reece just keeps getting cuter and more fun. We are having fun trying new foods. She has not been a fan of peas or green beans, but seems to like carrots okay. Squash is up next tomorrow! We tried Mum Mums today, but it was kind of weird for her. We may give them another try tomorrow. She has started sleeping on her side and her stomach a lot of the time. I thought it would freak me out more, but after watching her on the monitor every nite as she's settling down for bed, using the crib as her personal playpen, I'm not too worried about her being able to move if she needs to!
Here are a few recent pictures:
I'm so cute!

I can feed myself, Mom.
Pretty in purple
Mean mom made me put my arms through the sleeves of my jacket.
Easter Pictures (Just remember there are no pictures of Josh because he won't let me put any of him!)

Here is what I'm looking forward to this week:
- Seeing Sharon, Gray, and Cal before they leave!
- Birthday lunch with Sarah and Stacy
- MY BIRTHDAY! (I'm getting old!)
- Going on a date with Josh for my birthday
- Meeting Baby Girl Marzo (she's coming today!)
- Camilla's pampered chef party
- Making 72 hour kits for enrichment
- Working out
- Trying new foods with Reece
- Easter
Also, so excited to be getting another niece! My sister is having a baby girl this August. We can't wait to meet her! We're also getting another nephew this August from my sister in law. It's going to be a fun summer!
Is Reece trying to do the worm? There are only two true judges to this question. Mom? Sam? Care to weigh in, as those who have attempted to perfect this wonderfully awesome dance move. Somehow I think that Reece doing is a lot more cute than two people who are six feet and taller, flailing around. :)
